Esmé Boyce is a New York based choreographer and dancer. She is currently a collaborator with Satellite Collective as well as the artistic director of Esmé Boyce Dance. Esmé is a graduate of The Juilliard School under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes. While at Juilliard she performed the works of Laura Careless, Ohad Naharin, Larry Keigwin, Lar Lubovitch, José Limon, Nicolo Fonte, Susan Marshall, Matthew Neenan and Adam Weinert among others.


Esmé's choreography has been presented in various venues throughout New York. Recently Esmé was a collaborator for Beyond the Machine's production of In C at The Wilson Theater, Lincoln Center. Esmé has also presented work at Dixon Place in the Under Exposed Series, Judson Church in Bailout Theater's STUFFED series, at SPECTRUM in collaboration with artist Daniel Rothbart, at Center for Performance Research in Spring Movement 2012 and Picasso Machinery.

In 2011 Esmé presented The Particular Premiere of a First, an evening length multi‐media performance piece, at The Howard Gilman Performance Space, Baryshnikov Arts Center.

Beginnings of Etheria was presented at DanceNow's Raw Festival at the Tisch Studios, New York University, NY, in 2010. Esmé's choreography also includes Radix ut Paliurus, presented at The Clark Studio Theater, We Are All Made of String and Cord and A Drawing of The Queen of All Lands, both presented at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater, The Juilliard School.


Esmé is currently a company member of Janis Brenner + Dancers and has performed internationally with the company as well as in seasons at Danspace Project and 92nd Street Y. Esmé danced with Jin Ju Song‐Begin and performed her work at Danspace as well as Center for Performance Research. She has also performed in the work of Yara Travieso at The Wilson Theater, Lincoln Center, Bowdoin College and at New World Performing Art Center in Miami, Florida. Esmé has also performed the works of Helen Lee, Kristopher Weinstein Storey, Charlotte Bydwell, Katherine Partington, Douglas Dunn, Marta Renzi, and Carlye Eckert.

Esmé was also a dancer in the Ensemble for the Bessie Schönberg Choreographers' Residency 2010 at The Yard in Martha's Vineyard. She apprenticed with Stephen Petronio Company from Winter 2009 through Spring 2010.
