A first generation immigrant from Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, Manny Martínez Hernández is an actor, self taught writer, director and producer who explores themes of human emotion, relationships and communication through a blend of dramatic and often dark-comedic lens. He has produced multiple short and feature films along with acting in shows such as Better Call Saul, Cobra Kai, Veep and other mainstream shows. With this experience and knowledge, Manny has set out to tell his own stories in his own way. He firmly believes that if you’re not working towards reaching your dreams you’re working to help someone else reach theirs.

Vic and Tara is a short romantic-dramedy about two flawed individuals sharing the story of how they first met, only to realize both remember their first encounter differently. As we navigate through each version of their story, the contradictions leave us wondering about the whole truth behind their first encounter but leave us clear eyed as to why they’re together.

But this year Fer and Damon’s lifelong friendship is put to the test after grim news is revealed forcing them to confront unresolved feelings from their past, while embracing the present revelation and looking toward the future in a way they never have before. In this story of hope and new beginnings you’ll be reminded how the journey is as important as the destination.
